Story 

Krishna (Balakrishna) stays in Dubai and is a businessman who falls in love with Sneha (Sonal Chauhan). He flies to Vizag to get married amidst his family members in the city. As soon as he steps into Vizag, Krishna gets into fight with Jithender (Jagapathi Babu), a rowdy politician’s sons. Jithender reacts on this by attacking the entire family but Jaidev (Balakrishna) comes to their rescue. Who is Jaidev? What is his flashback? How is he related to Krishna is the rest. 

Cast Performances 

Bala Krishna gives a legendary performance. His role as Jaidev is one of his career best performance. He proves time and again he has a terrific screen presence. While the makeup could have been better for Krishna’s role, Bala Krishna in Jaidev getup looks royal. 

Radhika Apte bagged good role and she is very impressive. She leaves her mark in all of her scenes. Sonal Chauhan is trendy and glamorous. 

Jagapathi Babu is another asset for the film with terrific and villainy acts. Brahmanandam fails to evoke laughs. Suman, Suhasini, Jayaprakash Reddy, Brahmaji, LB Sriram are limited in brief roles. 

Analysis 

Boyapati Srinu had made Legend entertaining with commercial aspects though it had no fresh script. He made sure to showcase Bala Krishna in a powerful and emotional role. Screenplay is racy in the second half though it had the traits of Simha. While Jagapathi Babu carried of the film with interested aspects in first half, it is Bala Krishna who shouldered the movie in second half. 

Right from the interval block, Legend moves at rapid pace and the dialogues by Ratnam are very impressive. Cinematography is on top notch and music by DSP is mediocre while background score is elevating. 

However, there are few loopholes in screenplay where Krishna’s role is missing in the climax. The forcible political dialogues in climax doesn’t relate to the film. Boyapati should have been focused on comedy. All in all, Bala Krishna’s fans would be glad to watch Legend for the actor’s powerful and full-fledged performance
