Story:

Chandu (Naga Chaitanya) is a talented con artist who suffers financial problems when his father Sitaram (Rao Ramesh) is jailed on an unrelated murder case. His main aim is to take care of sister’s medical studies and to release his father from jail.

On the other hand, Chandu comes across Meera (Kriti Sanon) and falls in love with her. Meanwhile, Manikyam (Posani Krishna Murali), local goon who is settled to rob wealthy plans a local bank robbery. Chandu on one fine day finds a bag with cash of 2.5 Crores.

His dream comes true in the form of cash. Whose cash bag is that? Will Chandu save his father from Jail is rest of the story.

Performances:

Naga Chaitanya is undoubtedly gave his best performance with his matured skills in acting. His role looks stylish and has all that suits him the best.

Kriti Sanon role comes and goes and is limited for songs and few scenes opposite to male lead.

Posani Krishna Murali is at his best as local goon with fun expressions and perfection in his role.

Brahmanandam is hilarious.

Technicalities:

From the department of Music, Sunny MR tunes scored average and the visual part looks boring with untamed songs. But the Background Score in the film is heart of the film with well scored tunes.

Editing by Kathik Srinivas should have been crispy.

Art work by Narayan Reddy is good.

Cinematography is neat and the production values by SVCC banner is rich

Direction by Sudheer Varma has a racy plot but the director has unable to manage the whole film with perfection and could have been taken care with an interesting plot.

Analysis:

Dochay is a sincere attempt from the director inspired by his earlier film Swamy Ra Ra and the director has followed the same formula in execution.

The only difference we can find in the film is huge cast and unsituation scenes with boring script. The first half of the film goes on slow pace and the film’s second half goes on predictable line with no interest till the end of the film.

Brahmanandam scenes will give relief to the audience in the form of his entertainment. The last 30 minutes of the film goes on hilarious scenes and the audience can have happy ending from the theater.

Overall, the film can score good openings in the weekend with class audience and Chaitu’s solo performance.

Final Verdict:

One time watchable

RATING: 3/5
