Naga Chaitanya’s film Majnu, the remake of Malayalam super hit Premam is set to be launched tomorrow morning in Hyderabad with a formal Pooja Ceremony and the regular shooting will kick start from the 1st week of December.
Shruthi Haasan who is roped in as one of the leading ladies in Majnu will be seen as a college lecturer, the role played by Sai Pallavi in the original version of Premam. The actress has even begun preparing for the role, says sources.
Anupama Parameswaran, who was part of Premam will play the same role, while another heroine is being roped in by the makers for this coming-of-age drama that follows three stages of hero’s life.
Chandoo Mondeti of ‘Karthikeya’ fame will don the director cap and S. Radha Krishna is producing Majnu. The romantic drama is likely to hit the screens in the month of March 2016.
