Artists Performances
Collection King Mohan Babu as Naidu entertains with his
body language, his typical dialogue delivery, timing and antics.
Allari Naresh does his usual stuff and justifies his role with his
comic timing and his acts. His scenes with Mohan Babu are the major asset.
Poorna has put on some weight but does her act well while, Meena and Ramya Krishna are passable in mediocre roles.
Varun Sandesh is wasted in poor role, while Ali and Happy Days fame Sonia
are okay in their respective roles, while Jeeva,
Krishna Bhagwan, Surekha Vani and others
filled the screens.
Technicians Role
Koti, Achu, and Raghu’s music is
mediocre but the background score is quite impressive and good.
Cinematography by Bala Murugan is
colourful.
Art work by Chinna is decent
while Goutham Raju’s editing could’ve been much better.
Dialogues are just okay and
nothing to boast of.
Srinivas Reddy fails to score in
direction department while the screenplay is quite slow-paced. Production
Values are rich.
Analysis
Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu like
the title promises is a comic caper, and right from the word go, the film
provides fun and family elements.
However, the film’s story is
quite old and doesn’t offer a bit of novelty, but all the credit goes to the
leads performances. Both Mohan Babu and Allari Naresh ably support well and
share good rapport.
The scenes between them in the
first half are fun with both of them trying to outdo each other but the second
half becomes inconsistent with unnecessary characters and predictable scenes.
Nevertheless, the film works for its Situation comedy and picks up its pace
towards the pre-climax and climax, though sluggish narrative plays spoil sport
at times.
On the whole, Mama Manchu Alludu
Kanchu has its moments of laugh-out-loud scenes, provided you don’t mind of the
sluggish pace and predictable story and treatment.
