From an Assistant Director on Rang De Basanti to a Producer on Srikanth - Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne: Tracing Nidhi Hiranandani's journey to the top

Most of us dream of coming to Mumbai the city of dreams and make it big. Some of us even aspire to walk through the doors of Bollywood and survive in its bylanes for years. As a young student of Bcom, Nidhi Hiranandani also saw many such dreams. Still deciding on her career path, it was Kuch Kuch Hota that enamored the ambitious girl in her to pack her bags and head towards Bollywood.

Well, it was destiny, from a course in film production, after getting an opportunity to work with BBC UK, Nidhi made it to the sets of the TV show Shhhh...Koi Hai, working on the production was an experience Nidhi always yearned for. From there she got a chance to be an AD on Aamir Khan's Rang De Basanti.

Revisiting that moment Nidhi says, "I was uncertain if I should do it or not, but I ended up being an Assistant on Rang De Basanti. We started as 13 assistants, and by the end, it was only 2 of us left. I made it till the end of the film, but mujhe woh chaska lag gaya tha..."

After working with Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra, Nidhi had a little stint with MTV too. Another big opportunity Nidhi bagged was working with Dinesh Vijan on Hijack. Being one of the founding members of the talent management agency KWAN, Nidhi went on to work with Karan Johar's Dharma production too.

In 2019, Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani decided to start her banner with Chalk N Cheese Films Production and brought Saand Ki Aankh to the audience. She had the great fortune of working with Anurag Kashyap.

Hustling through all these wonderful experiences Nidhi today has mastered her way into the industry. Taking every little experience that she could.

With an aim to tell great stories through her production house, Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani in collaboration with Bhushan Kumar is now bringing to the audience Srikanth - Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne. The film releases in theaters on the 10th of May.
