Varalaxmi Sarathkumar starrer Sabari movie hits theaters today (Friday). Check out Sabari Movie Review below. The film is directed by Anil Katz and produced under Maha Movies banner with Mahendranath as the Producer and Maharshi Kondla as the presenter.
Actors Ganesh Venkatraman and Shashank played pivotal roles in the film with Mime Gopi as an antagonist.
Story:
Story starts off in Visakhapatnam where Surya (Mime Gopi) escapes from the Mental Hospital and tries to search the identity of Sanjana and Rhea.
Sanjana (Varalakshmi Sarathkumar) is an independent woman. She falls in love with Arvind (Ganesh Venkatraman) gets married. Knowing her husband is in relation with the chairman of the company. Sanjana comes out of the house with her estranged daughter Rhea (Baby Niveksha) and tries to find a job for her survival to take care of her daughter.
Rahul (Sashank) is her close friend and a lawyer who helps Sanjana to apply divorce from her husband and saves her as a support system.
Who is Surya? Why was Surya searching Sanjana is rest of the story.
Performances:
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar gives her best in an emotional role as a mother. Her role gets into the treat for her fans as she delivered her best in terms of Versatility
Ganesh Venkatraman role is limited and has commendable performance
Sashank gets an important role as an advocate and justified his character
Baby Niveksha is good and decent
Mime Gopi has a terrific screen presence and gave his best as an psycho.
The remaining characters played by Madhunandhan, Ashritha Vemuganti, Bhadram,Rajshri Nair, Sunayana are okay
Technically:
Director Anil Katz story has unique point but somehow his screenplay is not triggered in delivering the best thriller for sure.
Cinematography by Rahul Shrivatsav, Nani Chamidisetty is decent
Gopi Sundar's Music could have been better
Dharmendra Kakarala's editing is crispy
Production Values by Maha Movies is okay
Analysis:
Sabari is a film which deals with Mother and Daughter's bonding in a society when everyone turns out to be demons in one individual women's life. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays a matured women role and carried the film on her shoulders all alone.
Compared to her earlier film roles, this film proves her ability to offer more versatile characters for sure.
Overall, the film Sabari is a different lady oriented and a psychological thriller.
