Plot:
Chitra Aravindan (Siddharth) along with his team runs the "Barking Dogs" YouTube Channel and captures the social issues in the society. Chitra Aravindan who wants to take serious action on the corruption and social issues tries to fight in the public to address the problems through his YouTube Channel. However, he lands in the trouble in one of the situation where Disha (Rakul Preet) will bring him out from the Jail.
Chitra Aravindan who is disappointed wants to correct the System and runs a Social Media Campaign #ComeBackIndian to reach Senapathy (Kamal Haasan) who is in Taipei. Meanwhile, Pramod (Bobby Simha), CBI Officer wants to catch hold of Senapathy as soon as he enter into India,
Did Senapathy knows about the campaign? How things are going to change with the Senapathy's Entry is rest of the story.
Performances:
Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is back into the action as Senapathy with same aggression once again. His role has a versatility and an added asset throughout the film.
Siddharth, impresses with his role once again with natural performance. His role gets a good applause for his acting
Rakul Preet has a limited screen presence and nothing has in her bucket
Priya Bhavani Shankar gets into the action with her emotional performance once again
Samuthirakani and Bobby Simha are decent in their roles
The remaining cast Vivek (Late), Nedumudi Venu, Manobala (Late) and Marimuthu roles are okay.
Versatile Actor SJ Suryah did a guest role and has nothing in this Part 2
Technically:
Director Shankar deserves an applause for bringing back Senapathy once again on the screen to fight against the corruption in this Modern Age. However, the lack of connectivity went missing in execution front with a drama and a weak screenplay.
Music Composer Anirudh’s music lets down this time with loud BGM.
The Ravi Varman cinematography is adequate
Sreekar Prasad's editing could have been better and crispy.
Production values are Lavish.
Finally:
Bharateeyudu 2 is a film which can be watched for the magical combo of Kamal Haasan and Director Shankar's reunite film. Though the film starts off on a slow note, the film picks up well after the entry of Senapathy (Kamal Haasan) role and creates quite curiosity on how is he going to handle the correction of the corruption system with his violence once again on the screen. His Verma Kala is back again on the officials, ministers and bureaucrats to make them work diligently without accepting bribes.
The film's first half has all the stuff but yet not fulfilled in the latter half due to lack of the engaging screenplay and misconnection of the emotions. Those who are in expectations to get back the Bharateeyudu film memorable scenes can watch this film setting up the expectations low and watch it for the Vintage Action.
