After the recent success of Hidimbha, Ashwin Babu is back with a suspense divine thriller Shivam Bhaje directed by Apsar. The film has released worldwide today in the big screens. Read our review to and comment your ratings in our comment box.
Plot:
Story starts off with China-Pakistan's plan to destroy India with bio-war terrorism activities. Parallelly, there are series of murders happening in the city by a Psycho who leaves clues to the Intelligence team which is led by ACP Murali (Arbaaz Khan).
Meanwhile, Chandu aka Chandra Sekhar (Ashwin Babu) is a loan recovery agent looks after his mom and sister. Sailaja Krishna Murthy (Digangana Suryavanshi) is an employee of Binary Chemical Pvt Ltd company. Chandu who falls for Sailaja when he goes to her home to recover the car EMI loves her in the first sight and their love blossoms within short time. When everything is going well in Chandu's life, an unexpected incident causes Chandu to lose his eyesight. He regains his vision after successful operation. Somehow the things are not happening as expected in Chandu's life after the operation and he faces strange situations. What happened to Chandu? Why are the series of murders happening? Who is behind the murders? How the story is linked to China and Pakistan's bio war attack is worth watching it on the big screen.
Performances:
Hero Ashwin Babu is successful in attempting this genre once again with his amazing acting skills. His role is designed with good emotions and an action packed stuff.
Heroine Digangana Suryavanshi gets a decent role as female lead with importance throughout the film. She has done her job perfectly and had good screen presence.
Comedian Aadi gives few laughs in both halves of the film in Ashwin's character
Bollywood Actor Arbaaz Khan has terrific screen presence with good twist
Murli Sharma and Tanikella Bharani justified thier roles by opening twists in the film
Ayyappa had a limited screens pace but had powerful impact as Aghora
The remaining supporting characters Brahmaji, Kireeti, Temper Vamsi, Inaya Sultana will come and go interlinking the screenplay without any diversions
Technically:
The Director and Writer Apsar has prepared the plot with careful screeplay with a divine touch without hurting any sentiments of any individuals. However, the film loses the grip with confusion in the screenplay.
The background score by Vikas Badisa is an asset in the film especially in the opening scenes, Pre Interval block, and the Climax Scenes will have goosebump moments
Production Values by Ganga Entertainments looks lavish with Dasaradhi Shivendra's decent Cinematography
Editing by Chota K Prasad is decent
Analysis:
Shivam Bhaje is a film which has multiple turnarounds in the story and the characters. From the first frame till the last frame, director Apsar made sure that each and every character in the film will have the portion of their justification interlinking it without any diversions adding a divine touch in the end. Though the film starts of on a slow note, the pre interval bang will give a good twist for the audience. However, the director did not maintain the gripping screenplay in the later half where the confusion creates bit disappointment in revealing the twists.
The runtime is a major asset and the audience will not feel bore except for few scenes. Overall, the movie can be watched for those who loves divine suspense thrillers.
