Urvashi Rautela, Vineet Kumar Singh and Akshay Oberoi starrer Ghuspaithiya garnered significant buzz ahead of release. The film explores the dark side of digital world and how the surge in number of cyber crimes and threats spoils one’s life. While the plot and star performances have impressed the audience, what kept them on-the edge-of-the seats was the thrilling climax. 

The thriller revolves around the story of a Vineet Kumar Singh, who plays a police officer in Uttar Pradesh. He is tasked to monitor the phones of influential figures. Well, things take an unfortunate turn when he finds out how his wife, played by Urvashi Rautela gets lured in the dirty trap. How one incident wreaks havoc in their lives, is what Ghuspaithiya is about. 

While the interesting story gives viewers a reality check about the world of internet, it’s the gripping climax and leaves everyone mind-blown. It has the right amount of mass appeal which keeps everyone hooked and at the edge-of-the-seats. While it raises many questions about the safety of cyber world, as the narrative moves forward we get to know how ugly things turn if we are ignorant. While the climax leaves us gobsmacked, the scene becomes all the more compelling with impeccable performances by the star cast. While Urvashi and Vineet shine in their part, Akshay as antagonist aces his role with utmost panache. Adding to the thrill is amazing BGM.


Directed Susi Ganeshan, the film not only captivates but also educates the audience. In the times when massy entertainers, rom-com, and horrors are liked by people, arrival of such a film that serves as a crucial awareness tool in the age of digital vulnerability. 

The film has hit the theatres on 9th of August. It is expected to have a phenomenal run in theatres as content is the king and the film rightly justifies.
