Debutante Sathish Babu Ratakonda who has alone written, directed and acted as a hero in this film is released today in the theatres. Jathara is mass commercial film set in the backdrop of village based on the true incidents happened. The film is produced under Radhakrishnaa Production Company with Galla Manjunath as a presenter. Dwarampudi Radhakrishna Reddy as a producer and Dwarampudi Shiva Shankar Reddy as a co-producer. Sreejith Edavana has composed tunes to the movie with KV Prasad as Cinematographer.

Story:

Jathara film starts off with a temple priest Paleti,a careless man survived by his only son Chalapathi (Sathish Babu Ratakonda) also an athiest in his hierarchy. Venkata Lakshmi (Deeya Raj) lives in the same area and develops a crush on the Chalapathi for his behavior. When everything is going well in the Chalapathi's life, Gangi Reddy (RK Naidu) comes into the picture in Chalapathi's family. One day Village Goddesses Gangavathi comes in the dream and expresses a wish to Paleti to stay here and protect the village from the evils. However the village people comes to know about the things happening and will not trust the Paleti family as they had a bad impression on him for negative activities. Whenever everything is going well, suddenly Paleti will disappear from the village and the people in the village starts believing that a bad sign corners everyone when village goddess suddenly leaves the village because of the temple priest. 

Meanwhile, Gangi Reddy (RK Naidu) takes over the village activities and start to influence everyone by also inviting Village Goddesses to his home to stay her permanently. Due to old situations between RK Naidu and Paleti's family, he takes an advantage to finish off Chalapathi (Sathish Babu Ratakonda). Did Chalapathi comes to know the truth of his father's disappearance? What happened to him? How did RK Naidu and Chalapathi's revenge settled is rest of the story.

Performances:

Hero Sathish Babu Ratakonda proves his multi talented work as an Actor, Writer and a Director in this film. He has completely dominated the film with his matured performance and gave his best in the entire film. His role as a villager is at the top notch especially the climax fight sequence with the Villain will leave the audience in AWE state.

Heroine Deeya Raj looks too good in her role and was able to match the screen space with proper mix of the emotions and timings of her dialogues delivery.

Actor RK Naidu looks terrific in the role of Gangi Reddy and justified his character with dominance in the both halves of the film.

The remaining characters done by Battula Lakshmi, Ramu Galla,Galla Manjunath,Mahaboob Pasha Shaik and others are good.

Technically:

The director Satish Babu has a clear vision in the story telling and he didn't fall in trap to finish off the plot with any diversions. He completely took his screenplay in a perfect sync to present the film in a pure emotional and traditional way to explain every scene to the audience revealing the twists.

Production Values by Radhakrishnaa Production Company looks good with decent output.

Music by Sreejith Edavana is amazing especially for mass numbers, and BGM was his best part in the movie

Cinematographer K.V Prasad did ab  impressive job presenting the Visuals so naturally. His vision in showcasing the beauty of the village and goddess scenes were too good. Amazing Visuals with extra ordinary VFX work in the coordination is properly utilized. 

Editing by B.Mahendranath is neat and crispy.

Analysis:

The film Jathara will give a nostalgic moments for sure if you anytime visited the Village Cultures. This film is a complete mix of elements which will definitely connect to every audience. The director took so much care in presenting this film by not missing any commercial elements to engage audience. His vision in telling the story is a surviving point which is an big asset in the film. Every character and every scene will give a goosebump feel whenever the mythologic point comes into the story. 

Though the film starts off on a slow note, slowly audience will  connect to the plot within a short time. Especially, the goddess scenes and BGM will haunt you throughout the movie. There are lot of surprises and twists in the film. Most engaging part of the film is a vibe which you will definitely enjoy in the starting of the film, Pre Interval and the Climax scenes. Simply to say, the JATHARA that you will not gonna miss this time in the theaters with whistles and claps foe sure.
