Loveyapa: Yuktam Khosla Recalls Shooting His First Shot With Khushi Kapoor
Yuktam Khosla made his Bollywood debut with the recently released film 'Loveyapa'. He shared the screen space with Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan, and delivered a decent performance as a debutant. Recently, he shared a funny instance from the film's shoot that had the filmmakers taken aback! Yuktam also recollected an instance while shooting for the first scene with Khushi Kapoor.
"Everyone got along so well with everyone, and they were so nice and welcoming. I shot my first scene for the film with Khushi Kapoor. It was a reel on Dil ka Telephone. I noticed Rajesh Sir the DOP laughing because everyone knew I am Advait Chandan's cousin brother, everyone knew it’s my first film. I don't know what they were expecting. But working on this film felt like a breeze. Whenever I was on the set, I was just smiling. I couldn’t believe that this was happening to me, even though it’s a small part. It’s something which I honestly dreamt of and I have so much more to offer," he shared.
Sharing a funny incident from 'Loveyapa', Yuktam shared, "Advait Chandan had called me to rehearse with Khushi and Junaid. I have a scene with Khushi in the film where I am expressing my feelings, and it was supposed to be a reading. I asked Advait to give me a second and watch what I was doing. The DOP happened to be in the room and I left the script on the side, got down on my knees, and performed the whole scene very dramatically, just to give Advait a variation of how I'm trying to portray this character. The DOP took his camera out and started framing there. Advait started directing there. I don't know what reaction Khushi had because it was the first time we were meeting and it was really funny. I took out a rose while being on my knees and it was one hell of an experience. Everyone was a little taken aback."
The film has hit the theatres and is receiving rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. Yuktam Khosla is being lauded for his screen presence and the ability to showcase his emotional range as an actor. While Yuktam Khosla basks in the overwhelming response to the film, he is gearing up to play a shy Delhi boy in an upcoming web series, set to release on Amazon Prime in 2026. He will also be seen playing the role of a Gujarati boy in a quirky short film, helmed by debutant director Mukesh Manjunath. With an exciting lineup of upcoming releases, Yuktam Khosla is poised to cement himself as a rising young actor.
