Namrata Shirodkar Inaugurates Andhra Pradesh’s First Mother's Milk Bank at Andhra Hospitals
Namrata Shirodkar inaugurated Andhra Pradesh’s first-ever Mother’s Milk Bank at Andhra Hospitals, marking a significant step in neonatal healthcare. The facility will provide vital support to newborns whose mothers are unable to produce milk, ensuring their health and nutrition through carefully screened donations.
As part of the initiative, she also launched a cervical cancer vaccination drive for girls aged 9 to 18 years, with a target of vaccinating 1,500 girls by 2025—both programs being completely free of cost.
Namrata, representing the Mahesh Babu Foundation, emphasized their long-standing commitment to children's healthcare. Over the past 10 years, the foundation has facilitated over 4,500 pediatric heart surgeries in collaboration with Andhra Hospitals. Looking ahead, the foundation plans to further expand its healthcare services for children, ensuring access to critical medical care for those in need.
During her visit, Namrata also met young patients in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU, celebrating their recovery journeys. "It’s a day filled with purpose and gratitude. Every step we take is towards creating a healthier future for children," she shared.
With these initiatives, Mahesh Babu Foundation and Andhra Hospitals continue to transform lives, reinforcing their commitment to maternal and child healthcare across Andhra Pradesh.
